Adtalem’s Chairman and CEO Lisa Wardell was recently featured on Cheddar Inc. as part of their Women’s History Month segments. In her interview, Lisa highlighted the steps she’s taken to increase the diversity in Adtalem’s Board of Directors and leadership team, as well as how other companies can increase diversity throughout their organizations. She noted the implementation of measurable actions – such as appointing women to the board who had no prior public board experience and tying in DE&I initiatives into performance goals.
During the pandemic a disproportionate number of women have paused their careers or left the workforce entirely, and in order to create a more inclusive and supportive environment for women in the workplace, Lisa suggested one key thing – the need for flexibility.
