Adtalem Global Education contributes to the well-being of local communities through support of philanthropic organizations and student, faculty and employee volunteer efforts. Founded in 2010 and headquartered in Chicago, Illinois, the Adtalem Global Education Foundation focuses on supporting education and workforce initiatives that advance career opportunities for new majority students and improve the economic health of local communities. The Foundation’s sole member is Adtalem Global Education, its purpose being to empower students to achieve their goals, find success and make inspiring contributions to our global community. Adtalem and its private Foundation support non-profit organizations that reflect Adtalem's mission and vision of an equitable, healthy and economically productive society in the United States. The Adtalem Global Education Foundation provides support to partners and programs through grants, educational programs, research, and volunteerism in the following focus areas.
EDUCATION
As a global education provider, the Foundation supports organizations that strive to improve education quality, access and student supports. This includes support of non-profit organizations that work to improve K-12 education, increase access to higher education for underserved populations, and strengthen the transition from high school to college.
ECONOMIC AND WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT
The Foundation works to promote economic and workforce development by supporting workforce initiatives that advance career opportunities for new majority students and improve the economic health of local communities.
HEALTH AND WELLBEING
As an organization with a growing presence in health education, the Foundation supports organizations that improve community health and wellbeing, in particular for underserved populations in the U.S. and abroad who do not traditionally have access to quality and affordable health care.
VETERANS
In appreciation of the sacrifices made by military service members and their families, the Foundation supports organizations that honor our nation’s veterans, those currently enlisted, and military families.

To apply for funding, please first reach out to Lauren Rengel. You will then need to complete the application and return with requested materials. The date of the next board meeting will be posted at least one month prior to the meeting.
