Advancing Adtalem’s Role as Systemically Important to U.S. Healthcare

Evan Trent serves as president of Elevate, a division of Adtalem charged with developing and executing comprehensive growth strategies that encompass organic expansion, strategic acquisitions, innovative product development, and market diversification. Under Trent's leadership, Elevate aims to solidify Adtalem’s position as a leading innovator in post-secondary education and strengthen its role as a systemically important component of the U.S. healthcare ecosystem.

Previously, Trent served as senior vice president, chief strategy and transformation officer from July 2022 to 2025. In that role, he was responsible for leading the company's strategy, corporate development and transformation efforts, focusing on accelerating the company's performance across all value-creating activities to achieve greater scale and social impact. He joined Adtalem in 2019 as vice president, strategy and corporate development.

Prior to joining Adtalem in 2019, Trent served in a variety of senior leadership roles, including chief operating officer at HBR Consulting, vice president of strategy and corporate development at Heidrick & Struggles, and senior vice president of strategy & corporate development at the School of Rock. In each of these roles and organizations, Trent focused on fostering innovation, accelerating performance and identifying opportunities for growth.

Trent is actively engaged in civic leadership with a particular emphasis on education. He currently serves on the board of trustees for The Governor's Academy and was selected as a 2018 Signature Fellow for Leadership Greater Chicago.

Trent holds both a Bachelor of Arts in history and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Chicago.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​
