Senior Vice President, Corporate Affairs, Adtalem Global Education Lisa M. Sodeika
Lisa Sodeika was appointed Senior Vice President, Corporate Affairs in 2015, and leads Adtalem Global Education’s government and regulatory affairs, communications and civic engagement strategy. Practiced in global and domestic markets, Sodeika’s public affairs expertise is anchored by strong business operations experience.
Before joining Adtalem, Sodeika served as Executive Vice President at HSBC, one of the world's largest banking and financial services organizations, where she led HSBC North America public affairs and sustainability units. She also held a global leadership role, launching HSBC's international non-governmental organization engagement program and directing HSBC’s global sustainability communications strategy.
Before HSBC, Sodeika served in various leadership positions at Household International, a consumer financial services company, including directing Household's consumer affairs division, quality assurance and national collections and underwriting operations. Sodeika also led the development of Household's national community engagement, financial literacy and consumer loan protection programs.
Sodeika serves on the board of Wings Program, Inc. and on the Carrington College Board of Trustees. She is a member of the Arthur Page Society, Economic Club of Chicago, International Women's Forum and Executives Club of Chicago and a past member and chair of the Federal Reserve Board’s Consumer Advisory Council. She is also a Governance Fellow, National Association of Corporate Directors.
Sodeika has a master’s degree in workplace ethics and East Asian studies from Loyola University Chicago and a bachelor’s degree in mass communications from University of Illinois at Chicago.
