Adtalem Global Education (NYSE: ATGE), a leading global education provider, is pleased to announce the new location for its corporate headquarters at 500 W. Monroe Street, Chicago. More than 150 colleagues will be located at the new facility. Adtalem’s former headquarters was in west suburban Downers Grove, Ill., and the organization will continue to maintain a workforce in that office.

“Our new Chicago headquarters is another milestone in our long history of contributing to this vibrant region while empowering our students globally,” said Lisa Wardell, president and CEO of Adtalem Global Education. “With our corporate headquarters downtown and our continued suburban presence, we will increase our ability to recruit world class, diverse talent to lead our organization and serve our students and stakeholders.”

“When Adtalem was looking for a new headquarters, they could have gone anywhere but they chose Chicago because of the unrivaled strength of our workforce, transportation networks and culture,” Deputy Mayor Robert S. Rivkin said. “Adtalem is not just bringing jobs to Chicago, they are giving back to our students and non-profits, and we look forward to the company’s future contributions to our great city.”

The new office space will be occupied by Adtalem’s CEO and her functional direct reports including Finance, Legal, Marketing, External Relations and Regulatory Affairs, Information Technology and Human Resources. An innovative workspace designed to meet the needs of Adtalem’s global workforce, the office has an efficient, flexible work environment with limited offices, more open team space and tech-enabled conference rooms that create a high-energy, collaborative atmosphere.

“To celebrate our Chicago expansion, Adtalem will initiate a special ‘month of service’ volunteer program for our Chicagoland teams,” added Wardell. “During the month of January, colleagues will be able to commit a full, paid work day toward volunteering – in addition to their current Adtalem sponsored volunteer activities. Adtalem is proud to be in Chicago and to contribute our time and energy to the city’s needs.”
